The objectives of this Contracts Register service are simple:

To provide accurate and up-to-date information on all important / high value third party contracts
To provide visibility of existing contracts within an organisation so that they can be managed as a business asset
To facilitate alignment of renewal dates within an organisation or across multiple organisations – where it is a shared service
To allow organisations to plan and coordinate future contract activity
To support business critical activities, such as negotiation and SRM
To provide information to support any person or department in an organisation that has an interest in the outcomes achieved during the life of a contract

The data and information stored are simply a means to an end i.e. active contract and relationship management supporting the drive for achieving the right outcomes while controlling or reducing costs.
